Expert Paint Colour Matching

Need to match an existing paint colour? Colour Land is known for accurate paint colour matching for customers in Burlington, Oakville, Milton, Waterdown, and Hamilton.

Bring in your best sample and our team will carefully evaluate it in store. We can work with samples as small as about 2 mm, although a sample around the size of a quarter is much better whenever possible. Once we create your match, we save the colour history in our POS system so it can be looked up again if you ever need more paint.

Please note: Colour Land specializes in paint colour matching only. We do not provide interior stain matching.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you tint Benjamin Moore colours?

Yes. Colour Land tints Benjamin Moore colours in-store using official Benjamin Moore formulas and products.

Is the GRAIMONDI Colour Collection part of Benjamin Moore?

No. GRAIMONDI is Colour Land's exclusive owner-formulated colour collection. It is separate from Benjamin Moore's official colour collections. Colour Land still tints Benjamin Moore colours using official Benjamin Moore formulas.

Do you offer colour advice?

Colour Land provides practical in-store colour advice for customers purchasing paint through our store. Bring photos, samples, flooring, fabric, cabinet finishes, or colour ideas so we can help you compare colours, undertones, finishes, and Benjamin Moore product options.

Why do whites sometimes need primer or extra coats?

Whites and very light colours can require extra coats because they often have less hiding strength than deeper colours, especially when covering dark colours, patched areas, stains, drywall repairs, or uneven surfaces. A proper primer can help even out the surface and improve the final finish.

Why can cabinet colours look different from Benjamin Moore colours?

Many cabinet manufacturers and refinishers use lacquer, conversion varnish, 2K coatings, or other spray-applied finishes instead of Benjamin Moore wall paint. In those cases, a Benjamin Moore colour may only be used as a colour reference and then matched into another coating system. Because the product, sheen, spray method, and material are different, the final colour can look slightly different from a Benjamin Moore paint chip.
